Bill and Heather, both seasoned business owners, know a thing or two about stress. When they're not navigating the daily challenges of their businesses, they’re on the open road, chasing the freedom that only motorcycles can offer.
Bill’s love for riding began at just eight years old when his Dad bought him a Honda50 Motorcycle. From that moment, he was hooked. Meanwhile, Heather’s journey started on two wheels as well—though on a mountain bike. She spent years exploring rugged trails, before deciding in 2019, to take things up a notch and get her motorcycle endorsement.
As they spent more time riding together, Bill and Heather quickly noticed the gaps in motorcycle design—what worked well and what could be improved. With Bill’s background as an engineer, he naturally gravitated towards the technical side, analyzing every detail from specs to mechanics. Heather, ever the adventurer, became the perfect test rider, providing valuable feedback on comfort and performance.
Their hands-on experience modifying various motorcycle makes and models led them to their latest rides—Bill’s Vivid Black 2022 Harley-Davidson Pan America Special and Heather’s Baja Orange 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America Special. However, after logging some serious miles, they realized that the designers hadn’t fully accounted for long-distance riders riding the Pan America Motorcycle. That’s when Bill went into full problem-solving mode, developing a custom rider backrest specifically for the Pan America.
The first set of backrests was ready just in time for their epic 3,000-mile journey through the Western United States, a ride they planned to tackle in two stages. After the first 1,600 miles, their bodies were feeling the wear—sore hands, aching knees, and overall fatigue. But their lower backs? Perfectly fine, thanks to Bill’s custom backrest design.
While chatting over their motorcycle headsets, Bill and Heather had an epiphany. If this backrest could make their ride so much more enjoyable, why not share it with other riders? And with that, RideMoreGear was born.
Today, RideMoreGear.com is dedicated to enhancing the riding experience for both men and women, ensuring that every mile is as comfortable and safe as it is fun to be on the bike.
Bill was been a mechanic since he was 13 years old and is a engineer that has solved problems all over the world. He has a knack for seeing problems in 3-D likes to make things work better. His daily commuter bike is his Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic.
Heather likes adventure and travel. She started her bike journey on a 1976 Honda CB500 and then rode a 2019 Harley-Davidson Sportster SuperLow. Her current bike and favorite ride is a customized 2022 Harley-Davidson Sportster S.
Yukon loves adrenalin sports and is always up for an adventure. He started his riding on a 2006 Honda Shadow 750 and a Classic 1984 Honda Magma V65. His daily commuter bike is a customized 2023 Harley-Davidson Softail.
